These terms and conditions apply to every order placed on our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

About us

Our products

We take great care to describe and photograph our lighting accurately. Many of our designs use natural materials such as stone, alabaster, glass and wood, so small variations in colour, pattern and texture are part of their character and not a fault. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen. Room photography is for styling inspiration; measurements given on the product page are the best guide to size.

Placing an order

When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging it. A contract is formed when we dispatch your order and send you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or if there is an obvious pricing error, in which case we will let you know and refund any payment in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Any delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken at the time you place your order, through secure payment providers.

Delivery

Delivery times and details are set out in our Shipping Policy. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us.

Your right to cancel and returns

You have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. In addition, we offer a 30-day returns policy. Full details, including how to return an item, are in our Return & Refund Policy.

Faulty items and warranty

You have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are faulty or not as described. We also offer a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, described on our Warranty page. These do not affect your statutory rights.

Installation and safe use

Hardwired lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician in line with current UK wiring regulations. Please follow the instructions supplied with your product, use bulbs of the correct type and wattage, and only use indoor products indoors. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or use contrary to the instructions.

Our liability

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

All content on this website, including text, photography and design, belongs to Auren Lighting or is used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our written consent.

Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
